EPDM RUBBER SHEETS

EPDM RUBBER SHEETS

EPDM rubber sheet are primarily made from EPDM which is an M-class elastomer made of ethylene and propylene with diene component that is essentially used to strengthen it. These rubber sheets are synthetic polymers with low density and have rapidly become one of the most popular as the general-purpose rubber sheets.

PROPERTIES :
•The EPDM rubber sheets have outstanding resistance to oxygen, ozone and heat.
• They have the ability to accept high loads of reinforcing agents, fillers and plasticizers.
• EPDM rubber sheets have been designed by ASTM as M-class rubbers having a chemically saturated polymer
• chain of the polymethylene which gives them excellent resistance to environmental and chemical degradation.
• These sheets can operate under an excellent range of temperature, ranging from (-45 C) to +120 C.
• Its ability to resist oxidation makes it a fine choice for outdoor applications without much wear and tear.
• It has outstanding resistance to abrasion and flex fatigue along with extreme thermal and environmental stability.

USES

Industrial uses:

• It has a high insulation which makes it suitable for the use of making seals.
• It can be used in cold rooms.
• Used to make the seal of industrial respirators.
• Used in glass run channels
• Radiators
• Garden
• Appliance hoses
• Tubes
•Pond liners
• Washer
• Industrial belts
• Electrical insulation of various products
• Industrial vibrators
• Solar panels

Uses because of its water and electricity proof properties:
• It is also used to surround speaker cones
• Electrical joint cables
• Roofing
• Rainwater harvesting sheets
• Geo membranes
• Rubber mechanical goods
• Plastic impact modification
• Thermoplastic uses
• Valcunizates

Automobile industry uses:
• It is used to make door seals in vehicles
• Window seals
• Trunk seals
• Hood seals
• Hoses for cooling circuit system
• Thermostats
